Services
Anesthesia
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Click here for more information about anesthesia.
Radiology Services
Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. X-rays are used in a variety of cases. They are vital in detecting bone fractures, bladder stones, and for finding and assessing tumors. They can be helpful in locating foreign material such as swallowed fishhooks and safety pins. They are used to aid in decision making regarding Cesarean Section surgery by allowing the surgeon to actually see the size and number of fetuses present.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services
Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
Internal medicine consults
We offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
Electrocardiography Services
We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists. Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) is a transthoracic interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over time captured and externally recorded by skin electrodes.
Ultrasound
This diagnostic tool provides an accurate pain-free view of your pet's internal organs. Using this technology we can see "inside" the liver, heart, kidneys and bladder. This will help us to diagnose and treat infection, stones, and other problems your pet may have.
Dentistry
Periodontal disease affects nearly 85 percent of all cats and dogs over three years of age. This common disease has been associated with liver, kidney, and heart disorders. It is a frequent cause of pain and leads to poor general health. The good news is that dental disease is a preventable and treatable problem in most pets. For that reason, we provide the highest quality dental care as we strive to improve your pets’ health and comfort. Our doctors and technicians have advanced training in dentistry and therefore can provide high quality dental cleaning, radiography, and oral surgery. Each anesthetized dental patient has a team of three staff members (doctor, licensed technician, and technician assistant) in order to provide the most thorough and safest care possible.
In-House Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, cytology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Permanent identification
We offer microchip identification. A microchip is a small, electronic chip (approximately the size of a grain of rice) that is implanted just under your pet's skin. It is administered quickly and painlessly by a simple injection.
Microchips each have an identification number associated with them. Along with this ID number, your name, address, and phone number are entered into a computer database. If your pet gets lost, animal shelters or city pounds equipped with scanners will be able to scan your pet's body to quickly locate the ID number of the microchip along with the corresponding owner information. Many shelters and pounds these days are equipped to handle microchips.
Without proper identification, lost animals are likely to stray for extended periods of time. Unless spayed or neutered, the longer an animal is without the supervision of its guardian, the greater chance it has of reproducing and adding to the overpopulation problem.
Dietary Counseling
We provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We recommended the diet is precisely balanced to nourish the good life your pet enjoy.
